The Annual YS Pride Festival Heads to Downtown Yellow Springs

Updated: May 25

(YELLOW SPRINGS, OH) – The 11th Annual Yellow Springs Pride Festival is heading downtown and will take place on the John Bryan Community Center Lawn on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

This family-friendly celebration is one of the Yellow Springs' most colorful, and inclusive Yellow Springs events of the year, garnering attendance from both the LGBTQ+ and ally communities. This year, YS Pride extends the celebration from one day to an entire weekend, featuring a Silent Dance Party Kickoff on Friday night, and closing out the weekend on Sunday with a Community Cookout and live music on the lawn of the John Bryan Community Center.

The last Saturday in June is still home to YS Pride’s premier events featuring a vendor park, beer garden, food trucks, non-profit & information booths, local bands, live performances, inspiring speakers, and more. Saturday also includes the YS Pride Parade that travels throughout Village neighborhoods. As a Saturday finale, Peach’s Grill will host the official YS Pride Afterparty & Drag Show featuring Jackie O. & Friends.

Intentionally moving the event closer to the central business district helps to promote YS Pride Inc.’s commitment to building & positively impacting the local community. To encourage even more collaboration, YS Pride is partnering with local businesses and organizations throughout the month of June to feature educational, entertaining, and interactive events highlighting equality, LGBTQ+ awareness, and inclusivity. The annual YS Pride Festival is the premier fundraising event for Yellow Springs Pride, Inc. that helps to provide year-round LGBTQ+ resources & programming.
